To my white lgbtq+ friends changing their fb photos to “we are Orlando” - we are not Orlando. We may feel stung and terrified and hit personally by this, but we are not Orlando. Our latinx siblings are the ones who were attacked in that nightclub, and may be feeling stung and terrified and hit personally in additional ways we will never understand. Let’s not forget to acknowledge and center that.
